Sunrise: Off Grid is more than just a festival. Its a forum for meeting others of a like-mind and sharing invaluable information and skills. Our aim is to facilitate this in as many ways as possible, and in the simplest manner. We want everybody to be an equal participant in the event, which means getting involved wherever and whenever you can!
Further down the page you will find a list of skills we are looking for, volunteer positions and materials and equipment we need to make the event a success. If you can contribute any of this or sign up to help, then that would be most welcome. Contact details for each section below…
Ways to Get Involved Once you are there
Onsite, we want you to share your knowledge and skills with others. If you have something you think worthy of offering, or that isn’t covered by the programme, then we would love it if you can offer it at the event in one of the free or open spaces.

If you don’t feel you have something to offer (at least at first) then just come along to the workshops and forums and enjoy them, taking in new knowledge, learning new skills and joining in discussions. Everybody has something to add, we are each unique ingredients in the Off-Grid recipe.
Similarly, once onsite, everybody can help ensure that the farm is kept in good shape, that waste is recycled, litter picked from the ground, that everybody is respecting everybody else and the land we are gathered on. Off-Grid is all about community self-responsibility, not about anybody laying down the law and doing it all for you!
PARTICIPATE:
Sunrise: Off-Grid is a not-for-profit event and subsists on minimal income. We rely on participants doing it for love and because they want to share their skills and knowledge with others. There are things we need to make the event a success and skills and knowledge which we would love to be able to offer as part of the programme.
Whilst most programmed workshop positions are now full, if you feel you have something to offer in exchange for a ticket, please email off-grid@sunrisecelebration.com

They are an essential part of our workforce and we simply couldn’t run the festival without them. In exchange for a minimum of 12 hours of your valuable time you’ll get a crew ticket plus one free meal per shift and a minimum of two if you work before or after the event itself. You will have plenty of free time to relax and enjoy the festival as well!
You’ll also get an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction and the joy that comes with being a proud member of a wonderful team creating a fantastic and successful event!
If your application is successful you will need to give us a £55 deposit, which will be returned (minus a £2 admin charge) after the event, as long as you have completed all your shifts.
